Vega, watching this drama unfold on a prison TV set, swears revenge against Blanka for destroying his face. Vega easily escapes, and flies to Hawaii for a final battle while taking Mei Lei, Blanka's love interest, hostage. Blanka almost manages to kill Vega, but with the combined efforts of Mei Lei, Guile and Chun-Li, they were able to prevent Vega's death at the hands of Blanka.
