Mick is tired of being shot at and not getting a reward while Ikira tries to act as the peacemaker but ends up butting heads with Anakonda who insults everyone, causing Jack to retreat with Xyber 9 to think of a plan to unite everyone. Together everyone heads to the New Valley in hopes of recharging the Seed of Light and reuniting under a single goal. It is there they manage to resurrect an anti-Machina technology barrier, a force field that does not allow anything Machina made in.
